Support Implacable Books
Implacable Books is an intentional constructed project, carefully curated space, and collectively crafted vehicle for remembering and creating the knowledge that we need to be free. Every form of support strengthens the mission and renews opportunities for New Afrikan and feminist thought, cooperative economics, and creative exploration.
Here are the ways you can support us:
1. Visit & Buy Books!
Every purchase helps sustain the store and our programming. We care about all of our books so there is a good chance we will remember your face and the books you buy from us. We want to know your thoughts. Every book is a book that we read together.
2. Donate Books, Ephemera, & Art
Share the knowledge! We welcome new or gently used books, ephemera, & art that support our mission and enrich our collections.
- Afrikan fiction and non-fiction
- Women’s’ fiction and non-fiction, especially Global South feminist works
- Radical political theory and history
- Anti-imperialist pieces
- Any other valuable books
- Newspapers, zines, and other Ephemera from past and current liberation struggles and progressive movements
How to donate: Drop off your books at Implacable Books (189 Washington St., Worcester, MA) or contact us to arrange a pickup.
2. Purchase Community Gift Cards
Purchase a gift card for a community member by sending us money in person at the shop or online via Venmo @BuildWYC (memo line “Gift Card”) to attribute to a card that our volunteers get to surprise local youth with.
4. Attend Events
Engage with authors, activists, and educators through:
- Book discussions and readings
- Workshops and skill-sharing sessions
- Community cultural events and performances
- Political education talks and panels
5. Share Knowledge
We believe everyone has something valuable to teach. Propose a workshop, host a discussion, or lead a skill-building session. Topics can range from literacy and history to craft, activism, or professional skills.
6. Join as a Member
Become a sustaining member of Implacable Books to support ongoing operations and enjoy opportunities to shape programming and governance.
7. Volunteer & Contribute Skills
Your time and talents matter. Help with:
